About the Build

Dress was made by altering a pattern from Mcall's. I used a green stretch cotton twill for the dress with an olive crepe de chine viscose lining. The gold bias tape for the arm holes and collar are two way stretch vinyl. The appliqué (which can't be seen under the breastplate, but I know it's there!), was created in illustrator before importing into the circuit cutter software and cut out of gold iron-on vinyl. Her cape is a navy peony cotton sateen and lined with an orange polyester taffeta.

Breastplate was patterned using the duct tape / plastic wrap method and made with 6mm high density EVA foam. Painted with Krylon spray paint. Shoulder armor, belt details, headpiece and sword were printed using my 3D printer, sanded, filled, sanded and finished by me. STL files from Dangerous Ladies.

Wig is a Luthian Classic in Ash Blonde from Arda Wigs. Boots were purchased off amazon and customized with suede lace to match the arm wraps.
